Q:
Is it true that you’re not taking new patients?
A:
False. We’ve always welcomed new patients and especially appreciate referrals.
Q:
I heard you are retiring soon, is it true?
A:
False again. I love what I do now more than ever. My desire would be a minimum of 10 more years of service.
Q:
I heard you don’t take my insurance. Is that true?
A:
Wow-false again. We attempt to work with everyone’s insurance (except DSHS). We do not have a contract with any insurance company, (we work for you, not the company)
Q:
Why choose a complete exam appointment?
A:
My goal is to sit down with each person, take the time to listen to their story, and hear what that person really wants from dentistry. I ask questions about their preferred future, and how they see dental health affecting their life. I want people to see the relationship between dental health and their overall health.
I show a dreadful story of the progression of dental disease, and the disastrous results of not stopping the progression. Pictures of a healthy mouth are compared with pictures of gradually increasing disease and the resultant destruction.
After taking a close look and carefully recording current conditions, we sit down again and compare each person’s dental health to the ideal. I like to let each person decide the level of dental health that’s appropriate for them. I try to avoid pressure, and develop trust that their best interests are always in mind.
